SilverCloud Health, a leading digital mental health provider, announced its platform is now available in the Epic App Orchard marketplace and the first listed digital mental health platform to be included. Healthcare providers can now connect to SilverCloud’s digital mental health platform through Epic, providing seamless referrals to patients with mental health symptoms and giving providers real-time insights into patient care and access through in-app patient dashboards, all from one centralized location.
With SilverCloud’s evidence-based digital mental health platform, healthcare providers are equipped to effectively deliver clinically validated, on-demand digital therapeutic care to improve outcomes, increase access and scale support while reducing costs. Providers can launch the SilverCloud app with a single click and quickly generate a referral email to invite patients to join SilverCloud. The integration with Epic also enables providers to view an in-app patient dashboard which provides valuable real-time insights about the patient’s SilverCloud journey, including engagement status and clinical measure scores.
As the first customer to integrate SilverCloud’s services into their electronic health records system, UnityPoint Health, one of the nation’s most integrated health systems, recognized the positive impact it would have on patients and providers.
“Integrating SilverCloud with Epic enhances the clinician experience and makes it easier for providers to refer patients to SilverCloud’s clinically proven programs,” said Matthew Warrens, Managing Director of Innovation at UnityPoint Health. “Easy access to SilverCloud through Epic improves capture of important patient information, giving clinicians a holistic view of the patient’s health status they can utilize as healthcare decision support. We look forward to seeing clinicians continue to refer patients to SilverCloud’s on-demand platform at a time when access to digital healthcare services has become even more critical.”
SilverCloud Health has consistently demonstrated clinical improvement for those utilizing its treatment programs, with up to 65+ percent of SilverCloud users exhibiting a significant decrease in depression and anxiety symptoms (3+ or higher drop on PHQ9 or GAD7). Unlike other applications catering towards mindfulness and wellness, SilverCloud is a clinical-grade platform built from over 18 years of clinical research to ensure measurable outcomes amongst users. Patients are entering and engaging with the primary care system in new ways and at a high rate of velocity, and SilverCloud’s integration with Epic scales access to meet the growing demand for effective mental health treatment.
“We are proud to join App Orchard as its first listed digital mental health platform, and of the increased access and visibility providers now have when recommending patients for SilverCloud’s mental health platform,” said Ken Cahill, CEO and co-founder of SilverCloud Health. “Our integration with Epic helps bridge the gap between physician and patient access to mental health services and eliminates barriers that may impede a patient’s ability to seek the most direct and effective mental health care.”
