Asimily Expands Cisco ISE Integration With SGACL-Based Microsegmentation

Asimily has expanded its integration with Cisco Identity Services Engine by adding support for Security Group Access Control Lists, allowing device intelligence to drive enforceable network segmentation policies. The update is designed to help security teams move from identifying connected devices to applying access controls that reduce risk across mixed IT, IoT, OT, and medical device environments.

With the new SGACL support, device classification, behavior, and risk context can be used to automatically inform policy decisions inside Cisco ISE. Instead of relying on static rules or manual tuning, organizations can apply segmentation based on how devices actually behave and the level of risk they introduce. This makes NAC a more operational control, particularly in environments where device populations change frequently.

The update reflects a broader shift in how organizations evaluate connected-device security. Security teams are placing less emphasis on visibility alone and more on whether tools reduce effort and speed remediation. Segmentation informed by real-time context allows teams to contain risk earlier, without waiting for separate response workflows or human intervention.

As connected devices continue to scale across healthcare, manufacturing, critical infrastructure, and enterprise networks, enforcement becomes the practical measure of security maturity. By extending segmentation intelligence into Cisco ISE, Asimily is reinforcing the role of NAC as an active part of risk reduction rather than a passive monitoring layer.
