Phynd, Provider Data Platform, Has Record 2019

Phynd Technologies, Inc., a leading health care provider data platform,  has concluded a successful year of rapid growth in 2019, and plans to maintain pace in 2020.

In Q4 2019, Phynd added six new health system clients. Phynd’s client base includes 7 of the top 20 hospitals as ranked by US News and World Report. Its rapid growth reflects growing numbers of health systems which realize that an effective digital front door – a seamless consumer digital experience, powered by best in class provider search – is a requirement for consumer satisfaction and retention.  As these initiatives become the focal point for health systems’ strategy to stay ahead of the digital curve and consumer expectations, Phynd is increasingly sought after as their data platform.

“Phynd represents a new generation of enterprise provider data management platforms that serve both digital front door and EHR optimization initiatives,” said Tom White, CEO of Phynd.  “The market is realizing that provider data management is foundational to a better consumer search experience.  Patient access systems lack provider data model depth and flexibility to ensure correct patient-provider matching.  Master data management systems are patient- and medical record-focused, also lacking a provider data model. Phynd serves EHR, digital marketing and claims systems teams alike with continuously-curated data, improving consumer satisfaction, revenue cycle, and managed care operations.”

As many health systems continue to seek out new ways of managing provider data, they look to switch out these ineffective first-generation data management systems, for a next-generation data platform that they can rely on to offer perfect provider-matching, every time.

“Clients have come to us to replace these dated systems, which lack the ability to map providers to their individual patient-friendly clinical search terms, as well as health plan and network participation,” said White.  “We are replacing or augmenting these systems at many health systems and look to expand our share as more systems make deploying a digital front door a priority.”

One of the nation’s largest health systems, which deployed Phynd provider search and real-time scheduling in its EHR, is enjoying close to 10% of all appointments being booked on its website, diverting tens of thousands of calls a month from its call centers, and saving millions of dollars annually.
