CNE used Twistle to ask patients to schedule a vaccination appointment to support a multi-location vaccination effort. Twistle’s text-based platform enables them to efficiently target individual patients across a wide range of patient populations, not just those highly active on email, those in hospitals, or those who fall into any one demographic.

Twistle announced that Care New England Health System (CNE) in Rhode Island is actively using its technology platform to assist patient engagement initiatives, including vaccine administration. Care New England Health System is a reputable organization that supports cutting-edge medical research, recruits the best specialty-trained physicians in the country, refines renowned services and innovative programs, and engages in the critical health conversations that people need to have. While, Twistle, on the other hand, uses patient-centered, HIPAA-compliant communication to help care teams improve quality, minimize costs, and enhance the patient experience.

CNEs goal is to ensure that the vaccination effort is as equitable as possible for all. CNEs Chief Transformation & Innovation Officer, Dr. Jay Lawrence, said, “We are problem solving in a rapidly evolving and unprecedented landscape. Knowing that I can rely on Twistle to keep pace with our changing needs has been invaluable. With access to technology and technological literacy emerging as new social determinants of health, the flexibility of Twistle’s platform empowers us to design solutions that focus our human resources on the patients who need them most, without alienating anyone from the care they deserve in the format they need.”

Twistle’s text-based platform enables them to efficiently target individual patients across a wide range of patient populations, not just those highly active on email, those in hospitals, or those who fall into any one demographic. The CNE team increased outreach efforts significantly and used response data to identify patients who urgently needed a contact. They have sent over 20,000 messages since deploying the Twistle vaccine pathway in February, which would have been impossible without automation.

“We are proud to be part of CNEs mission of providing awareness and scheduling access throughout the region during these unprecedented times. Our mutual goal of putting patients first is amplified in this instance of the COVID-19 vaccine, where disparities in access can be seen when website and email technologies are depended upon for fast access,” said Kulmeet Singh, CEO, Twistle. “Care New England is an agile organization that is dedicated to meeting the changing needs of their community and our platform is designed to do just that.”
